Наповнений мій розум злосним відчуттям,Не можу побороти я своїм буттям...Жити хочу, процвітати і рости,Не як в пустелі кактус, а як у полі квіти.

My reason is filled with a spiteful feeling;I cannot overcome it with my being…I want to live, to flourish and to grow —not like a desert cactus, but like flowers in a field.
About the poem
A four-line miniature. The mind is filled with “a malicious feeling” the speaker cannot beat with his mere being — and against it, one wish: to live, flourish and grow “not like a cactus in the desert, but like flowers in a field.” Survival against flourishing, in a single image. Its brevity makes the contrast severe. Malice fills the mind, but the answering wish is biological and simple: live, flower, grow. The poem does not explain where the darkness came from; it concentrates instead on the stubborn counter-instinct toward development. In four lines, survival is imagined not as endurance alone but as growth toward a form the hostile feeling cannot dictate.
